JOPS aims to be the leading outlet for plant science and crop production research in Africa and the tropics. The journal is dedicated to publishing rigorous, original research that advances both fundamental understanding and practical applications in plant science, with a strong focus on the agricultural challenges facing Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
JOPS welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide, prioritising studies relevant to food security, sustainable agricultural intensification, climate-smart crop systems, genetic improvement of staple and underutilised crops, and plant health management in tropical and subtropical environments.
